Security Guard Training Courses

We offer professional training courses conducted by an MPCTC certified instructor. The State of Maryland requires all original security guard applicants to complete a 12-hour training course. All security guards seeking renewal will be required to complete an 8-hour training course.

Our Courses

The 12-hour training course will introduce you to the security industry, teach you how to recognize, handle and diffuse conflicts, how to conduct yourself, public relations and many more topics. This training course will teach you the knowledge you need to work within the laws and effectively provide protection for people and properties. The 8-hour course is a refresher course that will discuss critical topics to ensure security guards are continuing to provide excellent protection.

Completion of Training

After the training is complete and you receive a passing grade, you will receive your Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission Security Guard Training Course Certificate.
